2010-08-17Whoever wrote the previously about Kadena must of been an E1-E4. Yea, supervision are most likely shady and all that other stuff you said, you must not realized that they get a good amount of thier orders from Chief and CC of marginal MUNS. If you ever attended a good amount of the shop chief meetings, you would see this. Not sticking up for the other senior NCOs you were talking about. They mostly like are what you said they are. I'm just saying I wouldn't be kissing Major Miller's ass too much since he most likely is apart of those decision makings they had. From what I remember from what he said in one of his past meetings, if you are not happy to be there, he would have no problem getting you out of the AF. Of what I saw down there, the Bomb Dump's manning roster would be about 5 then if that was emplemented, lol. I hope that place gets better real soon. 18 MUNS used to be the place to be 5 years back.

2010-08-10I was stationed at Aviano from 1984 to 1992 and again in 1997 until I retired in 2003. The 80's at Aviano were my best Ammo years. Exercises just twice a year when TJ would bring the F-16's. Just a little sleepy hollow up until around 1993. Where else could you go skiing in the winter and the topless beaches in the summer all within an hours drive. The Ammo Calls (keg parties) were a hell of alot better back in the 80's. I'm not sure if they know what an Ammo call is now. Also Aviano felt like one big family back in the 80's. We did not have the nice facilities that they have now, but we made due with what we had.

2010-07-12Where do I start? Kadena is ass backwards and most decisions are not the right ones. I never saw so much shady crap in my career before this place. And I never had to quadruple document anything in my life till I came here. Maybe double but that was it. Also what I see people that don't deserve to get rewarded get rewarded and people that deserve to get rewarded get crapped on more. I don't understand this concept, but maybe I'm wrong. One thing we do have is a great commander but it's the people under him that seem to not make sense. And it's not just one person, it's a lot more than that. Airmen and NCO's. Oh well I guess I'll just have to suck it up like the rest of the droids. Oh wait, I have a mind of my own that can form my own opinions. This place drives a lot of people out of the military and it's sad.

2010-06-29this was actually said at the same commander's call by our commander. "So the climate assessment came back and someone said it was the worse base they have even been to. I would really like to know why." 5 minutes later the commander says "I would really like to have a ""barbecue"" some time. Not an old school ammo call with alcohol because I do not want you drinking on a friday during duty hours" what a fail

2010-06-08Hmmm last three bases I was stationed all on the bad list :( . I agree with the Tyndall reference, because the supporting cast on the test side is what caused me to retire, but that’s another story. I was stationed at Eglin when Chief Long retired; in fact I worked directly for him for almost two years, while he was a civilian. I can guarantee that Chief Long was always a by the book guy, so you reference "If you don’t want to work for civilians who “don’t care what the regulation says”, don’t come here" does not hold any water for me. "If Chief Long wants it done it's going to happen" why would it be any different? He is one of your leaders so you should follow his direction; believe me your 3 years don't even come close to the experience he possesses. You definitely show your disrespect towards Chief Long by calling him Johnny Long, which I find despicable. What you should be doing is not worrying so much about what the supervisors are doing or what the flight is doing and focus on what you should be doing. When I first met Chief Long we did not meet eye to eye on certain things, but I always showed the proper respect.

2010-05-19It is hard to believe how crappy it has become lately. Morale has taken a nose dive straight into the ground. I think the only people having a good time here are Flight supervision.

2010-04-07I implore you. Don’t come near this place. There is absolutely no solidarity, no sense of brotherhood. I don’t know what any of you out there are hearing, but, Johnny Long has his thumb on this entire bomb dump and they are tearing themselves apart. Airmen balk at NCOs, while NCOs cower and say, “they don’t care if they get paperwork, so there is nothing we can do.” Ridiculous time constraints, non-existent backing from supervision. If Johnny Long wants it done, it’s going to happen, no matter what. There is no upside to this shithole. If you like it when airmen show you respect, don’t come here. If you like when your supervision is behind you, don’t come here. If you don’t want to work for civilians who “don’t care what the regulation says”, don’t come here. This is not the complaints of a new airman. This is someone who has been here for 3 long, tedious years, trying to understand how on earth this place is still running. Shop Chiefs tell other shop chiefs to go screw themselves because they asked for a favor. Everyone is under-manned and the word from above is that until everyone is working 12 hour shifts, 6 days a week, they don’t want to hear complaining about manning issues. We were supposed to have some sort of umbrella when we got an enlisted chief… Seems like we got an upside-down umbrella to catch more shit for us to do. The best thing for this bomb dump would be to bring Chief Hamada over here and have him wreck shop.

2010-02-07No mission, which is awesome because there's no work. Yet there is work, tons of it because Reichsmarshall Penis von Headrick can't stand not having nothing to do. Self improvement projects up the ass? That do NOTHING? Bring them on! Have the storage/inspection people clean up the AFK building? Hell yes! Just don't expect AFK to come clean the one storage structure. One team one fight, right? Not here. The Reichsmarshall hates his wife so much he hangs out at at the bomb dump on the weekends, I see his car there all the time. Sad. The chick Flores running AFK? Most likely banging CATM guys- wait they've PCS'ed by now. Probably found someone else to fuck while her husband is at home with the kids. Stay away until 2012 either the world will end or the "leadership" will have revolved out.

2010-02-02WOW, if you are the example of great instructors we have at the AMMO school house then you are the reason airmen go to the next base not knowing shit! M-A-C-K? What the fuck does the "K" stand for?

2010-01-26Good you must be asking yourself??? Because even with all the BS coming down the good folks at AFPC are handing out curtailments like crazy. You dont know how good it feels to be in the shit and then know your getting out early!!! Sorry about those left behind. Maybe there will something left of your careers to show at the next base if you stay in. If I had to stay here I'd be out like everyone else. Welford kills good ammo troops people. However, AFPC has given us a second chance. Screw Welford and the regime.

2010-01-20Yes there is active duty AMMO at Kirtland. Dont let the small amount of personnel fool you in to thinking the mission is small too. It isn't. Its a 25 man mission working with 12 people, and only about 5 of them, at best, is worth a shit. Too much work, TERRIBLE supervision who accomodate the retards and totally fuck the folks who get shit done, and on top of all that, its in Albuquerque. Great town if you like to carry guns out of fear not sport. Honestly I have been to two out of the three bases in New Mexico and the state as a whole simply sucks ass. NEVER PUT ANY NEW MEXICO BASE ON YOUR DREAMSHEET!!!!!!!

2010-01-15I been here at Sheppard for almost 16 years and it gets better everyday. I help design the MACK and love to show the new recruits how the bombs get made. This is the core of AMMO and if you dont like it, stay away from the exsplosion of genius we are.

2010-01-05This place is as awesome is being the smallest guy in a prison shower! I'm so thrilled to have come here where the greatest professional achievement of the MSGT that was in OPS is to be able to walk upright. Nevermind that he cant speak english past 8th grade levels or expectations. And rank? Who needs it? We have Sports here to decide who is important is who isnt! Chief Childre was fired but what can you do? If I made this bed then why would I lay in it either? Chief RULZZZ!!! Im in the SQ chair warming team here in C2 so I have it made. I can do pretty much what I want and no one will say anything. It's bad people like Brown that we are lucky enough to help out of our Air Force. In fact we have been soo blessed that NO ONE (save you Mr Coulumbe) will re-enlist here. How's that for weeding out the weak ones? Want a 5 EPR? Were setting the standard here folks. Shit a gold brick, read minds, speak ebonics, play on a team and you have it made. I got a 4 because my chair is the coldest :( but I deserve it. Should've spent more time playing games online with Chris and Jack. Oh well. The rest of Air Force will follow the call of Mighty 420 and breaking rules will be the norm. Where else can you bust personnel limits for operations just to keep people "busy", call three different bases home and choose your own 1 Sgt or put safety and common sense aside so we can get our PT tests and mission/deadline critical tasks done! Screw you rest of Air Force. Welford is the best kept secret in all of USAFE.
